2011

Well......a year has gone by.....so much has happened.....I don't even know what to say really. It went by so fast people have changed, I have changed, and it all went by in the blink of an eye. What I thought was new suddenly became old and made way for something else that is new.

Well saying goodbye is never easy, and each time New Years comes around we say goodbye to everything that has happened in the passing year, all of the situations, good or bad and everything else that is holding us back from a new year and a new start.

But what we should always hold onto from every year that has passed and every year that is coming are the memories and the joys of what 2010 has been for us. This is a new time. Fresh. Anything can happen this year, and I'm looking forward to it!

This year is a time of moving forward, putting away all of the things that are going to pull me down, pull me away, and I'm holding onto everything that is going to bring me up and push me forward.

I want to dedicate this year to God, and every year that I'm going to be alive for, to him. This year is a time of change, a time to put our resolutions into action!

So Lord? What are you going to do for me this year? I want to present to myself, as a living sacrifice unto you, use me as you will, for your purpose. That I may shine for you and for your glory. That this year will be yours and that all my dreams and desires will become yours, Lord you are my new year resolution! I pray that during this year I will do what is pleasing to you, that I will make a difference for you! Amen.

What are you going to do in the coming year?

Who I want to Be...

There is a person behind every cold glare that is longing to be loved, even in every warm smile there is a soul longing for affection. Everybody has goal, places they wish they were, places they want to go, who they want to be.

I don't know all that yet, I know I want to travel the world and share the sights with everyone I know, I know I want to serve God wholeheartedly, I know that I want to help the helpless, I know that I want to be the one that people turn to, I want to be the light, the joy the fun.

I know that I don't want to be cold, hated or mean, I don't want to be a warning to others I don't want to be pityed, I don't want to be disregarded, I don't want to be rejected for who I am.

On the bus this morning I revised the person that I want to be and to be seen as. I found that I want....
  • I want my praise and worship to God to be genuine,
  • I want to be changing and moving forward (not backwards) in my relationship with God,
  • I want to be a good example to others,
  • I want to be loved for who I am, not who I'm TRYING to be,
  • I want to be a lighthouse to the lost,
  • I want to shine brightly in this world, so that no-one will not know that I am a child of God,
  • I want to have a caring heart, a loving heart, I want my heart to be compassionate towards others,
I want my life to be filled with these things, I want my life to be overflowing with God and the things of him, I have plenty of things I want to be and don't want to be, I'm praying that I'll be able to achieve all this and more for the glory of my God.

The 'Ideal' and The 'Inevitable'

The 'ideal' and the 'inevitable', we hear both so often in our busy lives, but how often do we take these into account...WHEN do we take these things to account?

Let me tell you when, let me tell you where, let me tell you why and how.

Well for starters we only seem to notice these when they come into place, not so much the ideal part, more-so the inevitable. When this happens you can't do anything BUT notice.

As you all know I was at my Nan's yesterday, and was supposed to come home yesterday...but the inevitable occurred, as it would when everything seems to be going according to plan. But that's what gets me, it's only a plan it's nothing more, it's only a plan.

Anyway, now we get to why, well my Nan fell down her little garden steps, fractured her arm, had to get a cast, so we stayed another night to give any assistance, in all of this Nan ends up coming home with us...

I found all this out in one millisecond (not literally) it hit me in the face big time, I was not happy, and still am trying to comprehend it all. I had youth last night, I wanted to go to that but the inevitable got in the way of our plans. (B.T.W I never got to go to youth).

But get this when I think about it the ideal are my earthly plans, the inevitable is God-approved-knows-exactly-what-he's-doing plans. You can kinda see which is the better one.

Even though my Nan fractured her arm, that's DEFINITELY not good, but you know what? God IS! He know's what he's doing and what is going to come from this situation, though it may be harder for me to accept now, in the end God is in control and I just have to let him take the lead.

Anyway, plans were a little bit messed up but that's OK, I had fun today, me and dad got out into our overgrown garden and have now got it all under control, ready to plant some little seedlings for SPRING!

The passion fruit vine was EVERYWHERE now it's been trimmed and is within it's boundaries.
Our dirt, REALLY fertile at the moment...YAY!
My Garden, all cleaned up now.
Mango tree....
Strawberries in the first pot, and several varieties of tomatoes in the rest!
We're gonna get a good crop this year, can't wait!

My Song

In Psalm 118:14 it says,
"The LORD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory."
I didn't know how many of you would know, but I am entering a school talent quest tomorrow (:-s) and as we were doing our family bible reading this even my eyes wandered across the page to this particular verse.

It really stuck with me for some reason. It's like, God you are MY life-song. All that I do, is you. It has all been planned and pre-destined by YOU! You are my strength, when I am weak, you are my song, AND...

He has given us the victory!!! Aren't we a blessed people. Anyway, I am entering into a school talent quest tomorrow, I am going to be playing my song...which I have written to God's glory.

Wait, wait, wait. What did I just say?
"Playing my song..."
In that verse I just shared with you it specifically said that GOD is my song. So this song that I have written from my heart is not my song but God's! This is HIS song! May it be used to honor him.

So yeah, please pray for me, that God's light will been seen through me and that this talent quest would not be about saying "Wow, she's good/bad", but will be about God, how God has been glorified through this situation.

I'll just share the words to my song with you, be blessed:

Who said that I could be forgiven?
You said, Lord, you said.
Who said that I could be made whole again?
You said, Lord, you said

As far as the east is from the west
As high as the heavens above the earth
Our sins are gone
His mercy’s shown among us.

Who said that the enemy would be defeated?
You said, Lord, you said.
Who said that you’d fill me overflowing?
You said, Lord, you said.

As far as the east is from the west
As high as the heavens above the earth
Our sins are gone
His mercy’s shown among us

I will praise you O God for you are Holy
I will praise you O God for you are Worthy
And I’m gonna praise You Lord
I’m gonna praise You.

As far as the east is from the west
As high as the heavens above the earth
Our sins are gone
His mercy’s shown among us

Our sins are gone
His mercy’s shown among us

WHATEVER It Takes

This evening we had a prayer meeting at church, and God moved mightily but there one was one prayer earnestly prayed that just stuck in my mind.
..."God, don't let me be ashamed of the gospel and of the truth, I'm desperate for the hearts and salvation of people that don't know you, God, I'm willing to do whatever it takes"...

As I sat there and listened with tears streaming down my face the thought kept going over and over in my head, am I willing to do WHATEVER it takes?

I am responsible for the salvation of the people I meet and do not tell them about God and his mercies. Not everyone is going to listen me, not everyone will believe but if I don't step out and plant the seed in their hearts then they may never see heaven, and the mercies of God.

If you think that I'm over-exaggerating or judging your life, I'm talking to myself, this is to me. I need to do this, and I'm sharing this with you all, to encourage you...

Whatever it takes, this may mean life or death, no, this is life or death, heaven or hell.

When I say Lord, do whatever it takes I'm saying, Lord, have COMPLETE control. There are people in this world that need you so bad, Lord they are desperate, I'm willing to be you vessel to reach this generation,

Whatever it takes. This is my prayer. Jesus, have your way.
